Northeast Ohio weather: Sunshine and mild temps to wrap up the week, rain returns this weekend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The fog continues to clear out across Northeast Ohio lending way to more sunshine this afternoon.

Expect afternoon temperatures into the middle and upper 60s.

With winds being a little stronger than last night out ahead of our weekend front, fog concerns will remain isolated headed into Friday morning.

Mostly clear skies take over tonight with temperatures falling into the 50s.

We will see a gradual increase in cloud cover throughout the day on Friday as our next storm system takes shape to our west.

Daytime high temperatures Friday will be back into the lower 70s.

Any Friday evening outdoor activities will stay free from rain with mild temperatures into the 60s.

Our next system arrives in Northeast Ohio Saturday.

Mostly cloudy skies will take over to start the weekend with rain chances holding off until the late afternoon and evening to overnight timeframe.

Daytime highs on Saturday will make a run at the middle and upper 70s.

More sunshine returns Sunday with temperatures still mild into the lower 70s before cooler air settles in to start the upcoming work week.
