Northeast Ohio weather: Wintry chill to welcome February
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Sunshine continues to break through across Northeast Ohio this afternoon.
Temperatures will remain colder today with a familiar chill returning tonight.
Overnight lows will be into the lower to middle teens under partly cloudy skies.
Cold temperatures and relatively warmer Lake Erie waters will help to bring some overnight and early Wednesday morning flurries.
Similar to today, this will not bring any accumulation, but a few flurries dancing in the sky to welcome Wednesday is possible.
More sunshine on the way for Wednesday afternoon with daytime highs into the upper 20s.
Temperatures gradually warm Thursday into the upper 30s before our next arctic front blasts through Northeast Ohio.
Friday will be the coldest day of the next seven with temperatures in the afternoon not expected to make it out of the middle and upper teens.
Lake effect snow showers will accompany this arctic air to wrap up the work week.
Our next system is on deck Sunday as warmer air builds into the region this weekend.
