Northeast Ohio weather: Warming up tomorrow; widespread rain returns to Cleveland on St. Patrick’s Day
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - It may be cold outside today but it is absolutely beautiful!
Clouds will increase through the night, which is actually good news for us because the cloud cover will keep temperatures a little bit warmer this evening.
At night, clouds can act as a blanket, trapping the day’s heat (or what little heat we have, anyway) on the surface of the Earth.
Sure, it’ll be chilly with temperatures in the low 30s, but at least we won’t be experiencing widespread 20s Thursday morning!
Clouds will part fairly quickly Thursday morning, making for a nice, partly sunny start to the day.
Thursday will be our warmest day of the week with highs in the mid, and maybe even a few upper, 50s.
Clouds will increase again later in the day as our next big weather system approaches from the west.
Rain will move in after 9:00 p.m. Thursday, lingering through Friday morning’s commute.
Friday, St. Patrick’s Day, is going to be a soaker.
There will be occasional showers in the area through at least mid-afternoon.
It will also be quite windy with wind gusts of 40 mph.
Temperature-wise, we’ll quickly warm into the low 50s on Friday morning before tumbling into the 40s Friday afternoon.
As the rain moves out, colder air will move in for the weekend.
