CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The cold front is making its way through Northeast Ohio this afternoon dropping temperatures closer to the lakeshore.

With this front will be continued periods of light rain into the early evening.

As this front continues to push to the south, it will slow and hang up just south of our area overnight leaving some rain chances into early Friday for areas south of U.S. 30.

Areas farther to the north may contend with some patchy fog coming in off Lake Erie Friday morning.

Most of Friday will be dry as temperatures warm from the mid 30s in the morning to the lower 40s by the afternoon.

Friday night into Saturday, a warm front surges north bringing back more moisture, rain and storm chances, as well as warmer temperatures for Saturday.

In addition to the heavy rain possible with this system, wind gusts of 50 MPH or greater will be possible Saturday afternoon.

Wind damage and power outages cannot be ruled out.

Another cold front arrives Saturday evening and will usher in cooler temperatures to wrap up the weekend and into next week.

Sunday looks to be dry as some low-end rain chances return early next week during the evening/overnight.
