19 First Alert Day: Rain, storms, and high winds Friday night into Saturday

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - After a gorgeous day today, rain will return to the area tomorrow.

Showers will move in from the west after 7:00 a.m.

Expect occasional showers through the day.

Friday evening, the showers will be accompanied by a few thunderstorms, some of which will produce gusty winds.

Periods of rain will continue into Saturday, especially early in the morning.

By mid-to-late morning, we may actually be seeing a few breaks in the rain, and even some sunshine, before the showers fill back in during the afternoon.

Saturday night, colder air will move into the area, and the rain will mix with snow.

High winds will be our other big weather story through Saturday.

Winds will pick up on Friday, gusting upwards of 45 to 50 mph during the day and into the evening.

By midday Saturday, winds may be gusting upwards of 55 mph or greater.

Power outages and tree and property damage are possible.
