19 First Alert Weather Day: Severe storms possible Wednesday; highs near 80 degrees by mid-week
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The 19 First Alert Weather Team has issued a 19 First Alert Weather Day for Wednesday.
The team issues First Alert Weather Days when they know that the weather will have a big impact on your day.
It’s all about helping you plan and keeping you safe.
Waves of showers and storms will move through on Wednesday afternoon, and Wednesday evening, and some of these storms may be strong to severe.
The main threats will be damaging winds and tornadoes.
Please have a way to get your warnings, should any be issued.
Ahead of the storms, strong southerly winds will push temperatures well into the 70s Wednesday afternoon.
A few spots may even hit 80 degrees!
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the year, so far.
In the meantime, after a gorgeous start to the week, scattered showers will move through the region this evening.
A rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out.
The areas most favored for showers tonight will be along the lakeshore.
