Northeast Ohio weather: Rain returns on Friday; turning cooler this weekend
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Did today feel extra warm to you?
It was! (The exception, of course, being along the lakeshore.)
We tied several record high temperatures today!
Temperatures will be significantly cooler starting tomorrow afternoon.
In the meantime, expect dry conditions through this tomorrow morning.
Rain will return to the area after 1:00 p.m. Friday.
Expect scattered rain and rumbles of thunder Friday afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will top out around 70 degrees tomorrow, most likely around late-morning, and then temperatures will fall the rest of the day.
Showers will become more numerous Friday night into Saturday morning.
Models do indicate that we’ll actually get a nice break in the rain late Saturday morning before another round of scattered showers moves in during the afternoon.
Temperatures on Saturday will only climb into the 50s.
By Sunday, even colder air will stream in, and highs will only top out in the 40s.
Looking ahead, temperatures will remain below normal for much of next week.
The 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting highs in the 50s from Monday through Thursday of next week.
