CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - We are monitoring the development of showers and storms west of Northeast Ohio overnight.

This activity will bring rain and rumbles to the area Sunday.

New data continues to suggest that the severe threat may stay just west and south of our area early Sunday.

We will monitor any thunderstorms that develop as they could still present a gusty wind, small hail, heavy rain and frequent lighting hazard for some.

However, this is trending towards a rainy and rumbly start to Sunday with a low-end severe threat through the morning.

Best chance for mid-morning storms looks to sit mainly along and south of U.S. 30.

Rain will clear out by midday and open the door to party cloudy conditions and warm temperatures once again.

Expect highs on Sunday to rest into the lower 70s with only a very isolated rain chance lingering into the afternoon.

Showers and storms look to redevelop Sunday night into Monday.

We are trending drier for most of Monday before another evening/overnight rain and rumble chance develops into Tuesday.

The last of the showers and storms will exit the area Tuesday morning leaving us dry through the end of the week and into next weekend.

Daytime highs over the next 7 days will range between the mid 60s to the mid 70s.
