CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two people are dead and a third is in the hospital following a shooting in Cleveland Sunday morning, according to police.

Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said the shooting happened at around 3 a.m. in the 1000 block of E. 76th Street, in the city’s St. Clair Superior neighborhood.

Police found two victims, both women, dead at the scene and a third who was shot in the buttocks.

Family members have identified one of the victims as Bianca Mason, 31, a mother to three young children.

“I feel like it’s senseless and I feel like somebody needs to talk,” a family member said. “If it was their loved one, they’d want somebody to stand up and speak, but, it’s senseless.

James Box, a long-time Cleveland activist with Truth Ministries and Jim Brown’s Peace Squad says it’s time the city comes up with a plan of action to silence the violence. “But, while y’all trying to make up your mind on what you need to do, young people dying continuously in this city.”

The second woman who died from her injuries has been identified as Atalya Lashae Gordon, 23, of Cleveland.

EMS transported the third victim to University Hospitals, where their condition and name remains unknown.
