Northeast Ohio weather: Feeling like Summer the rest of the week; dry conditions persist

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A large area of high pressure will be locked in place nearby for the remainder of the week.

This feature will keep our local weather dry for the foreseeable future.

Other than the dry conditions, our big weather story over the coming days will be the much warmer-than-normal temperatures.

Temperatures will soar into the mid 80s this afternoon.

Some spots may very well hit the upper 80s!

Lakeshore communities will experience a cooling lake breeze during the afternoon.

The weather from Wednesday through Saturday will essentially mirror today’s weather.

The 19 First Alert Weather Team is forecasting highs in the mid to upper 80s through Saturday.

Sunday will be a touch cooler with highs in the low 80s.

At this time, our area is not experiencing drought conditions, but we could use a little bit of rain.

Cleveland-Hopkins hasn’t recorded rain since May 20th.
